Report reveals Biden’s Education Department spent $100 million on CRT, DEI and ‘social justice’ training

The U.S. Department of Education under President Joe Biden spent over $100 million on grants to universities to train K-12 social workers in critical race theory (CRT), “social justice” and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), according to a report detailed in The Daily Caller.

This shows why the Department of Education needs to be abolished. President Trump is trying to use his mandate to reform education, but the majority of people in the current system hold leftist ideologies.

They will fight any attempt to push them back even to the center. And the next Democrat administration will just pick up where they left off.

The $100 million in grants was issued under the guise of providing mental health services to students through the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program and the School-Based Mental Health Services Grant Program, according to a recent report.

The funds were distributed to 26 universities that required courses teaching about oppression and white supremacy, radicalizing social workers who went on to work in K-12 schools.

For instance:

  • The Master of Social Work program at Georgia State University, which received an $8,000,000 grant in 2023 geared specifically towards children’s mental health, requires a class on “Diversity and Social Justice,” according to the university’s website.

  • $1,200,000 grant awarded to the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2023 goes toward programs that require an explicitly titled “DEI course” that “uses intersectionality as a framework for exploring multiple dimensions of difference and their relationship to oppression, privilege, and cultural humility,” according to the program’s requirements.

  • Another school, Indiana University, received a grant worth $5,700,000 in 2023 to teach anti-oppression, heterosexism and white privilege in social work over a five-year period.

Every administration has used and will use the power of its money to influence education throughout the country. President Trump’s best strategy is to employ subsidiarity. That means truly returning control to parents and local communities and eliminating all federal involvement in education.

In an effort to get the federal government out of education entirely, USPIE recently updated and sent its Blueprint to Close the Department of Education to the Trump Administration and Republican lawmakers. President Trump’s Department of Education has not only acknowledged receipt of the Blueprint but confirmed it has been circulated among key officials, signaling the accelerating momentum for this bold reform.

On March 20, President Trump issued an executive order aimed at shutting down the Department of Education. It read in part:

“The Executive Order directs the Secretary of Education to take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return education authority to the States, while continuing to ensure the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services, programs, and benefits on which Americans rely.”

“The Order also directs that programs or activities receiving any remaining Department of Education funds will not advance DEI or gender ideology.”

USPIE’s message has been heard loud and clear at the White House. We wish the new Education Secretary, Linda McMahon, well in her executive capacity to carry out the president’s ambitious agenda.

United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) is a nonprofit, nationwide coalition that is fighting to return education to its proper local roots and restore parental authority over their children’s education by helping parents and local communities to escape federal and other national influences. It is the vision of USPIE to create a culture where parents, empowered with the authority to choose what and how their children learn, are the undisputed primary educators of their children, where local schools operate in support of families, and where education is unencumbered by federal mandates.

USPIE aspires to create a culture where parents, empowered with the authority to choose what and how their children learn, are the undisputed primary educators of their children; where local schools operate in support of families, and where education is unencumbered by federal mandates. USPIE’s podcast, “Unmasking Government Schools with Sheri Few,” educates Americans on the various forms of indoctrination, harmful policies and affronts to parents’ rights occurring in government schools across the country.
