Most pre-pubertal children (80 to 95 % depending on the study) reporting Gender Dysphoria (GD) will achieve a normal gender identity as adults unless they are “transitioned.” Tragically nearly 100% of these children will become transgender adults if they receive transgender affirming treatments.
Schools are ground zero in the current culture war on sex education. The LGBTQ+ agenda is a political movement foisted upon schools under the guise of diversity and civil rights. United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) strongly opposes these efforts to confuse and sexualize America’s children.
Parents are a child’s first teacher and US Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) advocates for parents, not the government, to control their children’s education. There are about 2.5 million homeschool students in grades K-12 in the United States and it appears that the homeschool population is continuing to grow at an estimated 2% to 8% per year.
A battle is raging over the opening of schools this fall. Some believe we absolutely must not open, dramatically claiming children will die from contracting COVID. Others insist we absolutely must open, claiming the effects of staying home will be more harmful than the virus itself.
H. 4596 mandates emphasis on “World Class Skills and Life and Career Characteristics.” The required competencies are values, attitudes and beliefs. Historically, parents have been responsible for teaching these subjective matters, but under Common Core and CBE, a computer teaches and evaluates competency for values, attitudes and beliefs.
Safety of students and staff in America’s schools is a major concern of parents across the country. No one should accept school violence of any sort, from bullying to homicide. USPIE supports committed enforcement of effective laws, and implementation of policies and practices that will keep students and staff safe.
The Founders of the United States government insisted that property rights were at least as important as personal rights. In Federalist 54, James Madison stated tersely: “Government is instituted no less for the protection of the property than of the persons of individuals.”
USPIE opposes all efforts to convert American education into a workforce development system and opposes enabling massive data collection of citizens, especially children, facilitated and coordinated by the Federal government. USPIE believes the effort to make this dramatic conversion through government schools is misunderstood by most Americans and nearly all elected officials.
A primary mission of United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) is to return control of education to parents and local communities. We are alarmed by the expanded use of inappropriate Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), in K-12 public schools. CSE is a blatant intrusion into a traditional family domain and a dangerous assault on the health and innocence of children. We urgently encourage parents to retake control of their children’s sex education.

United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) is a nonprofit, nationwide coalition of state leaders focused on restoring local control of education by eradicating federal intrusion. State leaders from around the country, fed up with being ignored on education policy, have joined forces to abolish the US Department of Education (USED) and put an end to all federal education mandates. CBE is the antithesis of a liberal-arts education. It focuses not on academic knowledge but on workforce skills. The natural devolution is to allow politically connected corporations to develop “badges” and “credentials” that will be required and to convert K-12 into merely a training program for their entry-level employees.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) has become the latest panacea in a long line of progressive “education reforms” that have only served to distract from the fact that American public school children are failing academically. Presented as an effort to support student mental health, it is a veiled attempt to indoctrinate and categorize children.
