Sandy Torosian

CALIFORNIA CHAPTER PRESIDENT

California PIE President Sandy Torosian graduated from California State University, Fresno in 1979 with a degree in Speech Pathology.  She is the mother of two adult children and three grandchildren, and has been concerned about public education since the late 1980s. As a member of the Fresno County and City Republican Women Federated, she has spoken out against Common Core, Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Critical Race Theory, both locally and statewide. After leaving public education in 2016, she ran for her local school board, and has tutored phonics and reading in her home, without government intrusion, since 2017.  As a leader in USPIE, she is an education advocate who fights for the protection of children that have no other option but to attend government schools.
