DEI consultant who got illegal alien school superintendent hired snares USPIE’s October Millstone Award

United States Parents Involved in Education’s (USPIE) October Millstone Award goes to James Guerra, a consultant who specializes in placing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) activists into government school positions.

One of his most notable placements is Ian Andre Roberts. He’s the illegal alien who headed Iowa’s largest school system, Des Moines Public Schools, raking in over $270,000 per year, and injected it with DEI content before his arrest in September by federal immigration officials.

USPIE gives a monthly Millstone Award to “the person involved in government schools who has committed the most egregious acts against children. These individuals have taken steps to funnel wokeness and other harmful pedagogies into America’s classrooms.”

Guerra is president and CEO of JG Consulting, which helped place Roberts as the head of Des Moines Public Schools. Roberts was detained on Sept. 26 on a ‘fugitive warrant’ after he attempted to flee from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. “Roberts allegedly sped away when officers approached his vehicle and identified themselves, and officers found his vehicle abandoned in a nearby wooded area. Inside was the handgun, $3,000 in cash and the hunting knife, the department said.”

Guerra has placed leftwing activist administrators like Roberts all over the country. He is part of the massive educational Deep State that former U.S. Education Secretary William Bennett calls ‘The Blob.’  Given the pipeline in place for woke administrators, as exemplified by Guerra’s reach, it’s not surprising that government schools have turned into indoctrination mills that instill wokeness but fail to educate in what matters.

Guerra’s JG Consulting has orchestrated superintendent searches in Houston, Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth, and in over 65 other school districts across the country, according to American Liberty News.

“The board relied on JG Consulting, a DEI-focused superintendent search firm, to present candidates,” American Liberty said. “The result was predictable: ideological loyalty to DEI trumped competence, diligence, and basic legality.”

“How this illegal alien was hired without work authorization, a final order of removal, and a prior weapons charge is beyond comprehension and should alarm the parents of that school district,” said ICE Enforcement Removal Operations St. Paul Field Office Director Sam Olson.

Government schools are corrupt from the top down. They are run by a cabal of teacher unions, leftwing school boards, and DEI consultants like Mr. Guerra. They don’t deserve the trust of America’s parents, who have been told that this is the best they can expect.

But it’s not. Homeschooling and private schooling are soaring and now account for more than 16 percent of all students. USPIE urges parents to save their kids by pulling them out of government systems.

To hear more from USPIE’s Founder and President, Sheri Few, tune in to the latest episode of USPIE’s podcast, “Unmasking Government Schools with Sheri Few,” on Tuesday, Oct. 7, with special guest Rhyen Staley, an investigative reporter with Defending Education — an organization dedicated to exposing and combating political indoctrination in America’s schools. Few and Staley will discuss his recent Daily Wire article, entitled “The Revolution Will Be Graded,” in which he exposes how radical educators are weaponizing grading policies to further a woke agenda in government schools. USPIE’s “Unmasking Government Schools with Sheri Few” is a weekly podcast that exposes the dangers of education shaped by government bureaucrats and social engineers, while exploring practical ways to protect children and preserve America’s freedom. United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) is a nonprofit, nationwide coalition that is fighting to return education to its proper local roots and restore parental authority over their children’s education by helping parents and local communities to escape federal and other national influences. It is the vision of USPIE to create a culture where parents, empowered with the authority to choose what and how their children learn, are the undisputed primary educators of their children, where local schools operate in support of families, and where education is unencumbered by federal mandates.

USPIE’s powerful documentary, “Truth & Lies in American Education,” addresses some of the most glaring issues in the American education system and equips parents to make a change in their local school district for the betterment of their children. The film follows Few’s daughter-in-law, April, as she seeks to learn more about the system she was planning on exposing to her own children and learns the shocking truth. “Truth & Lies in American Education” is available for streaming on SalemNOW, as well available on DVD.
