USPIE awards February Millstone of the Month to Brooklyn’s PS 261 for foisting antiIsrael bias on children
A New York City public school is under fire for displaying a map of the Middle East that doesn’t include Israel, effectively committing “Jewish erasure” and implementing explicit bias onto impressionable children. A Palestinian art teacher at PS 261, a public elementary school in Brooklyn, is openly displaying the map in the hopes that her students will “have deep knowledge and respect for Arab culture and art,” despite the October 7 terror attack on Israel by Hamas. One critic declared that this map is a prime “example of how you embed implicit bias into children.”
Due to this extreme example of educational overreach to the detriment of students, United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE), a leader in the fight for parental rights and government removal from education, awards the February “Millstone of the Month” to faculty and staff of PS 261. The Millstone of the Month Award is given to the person or organization involved in government schools who has committed the most egregious acts against children.
“The overt indoctrination of children in government schools is out of control,” said Sheri Few, USPIE founder and president. “This teacher is clearly pushing her biased view of the crisis in the Middle East on young, impressionable children, all with the approval of her administration. It is not up to the teacher to foist her political opinions on children that are not hers, yet she is choosing to let her political views override her call to teach. This is the harsh reality happening in government schools all across the country. Young children are being brainwashed by the progressive agenda poisoning government schools. Parents must be aware of what is happening in their children’s schools and do something about it — starting with removing their children out of harm’s way.”
For parents looking to assert their God-given parental authority when it comes to their children’s education, USPIE offers powerful resources that equip concerned citizens to fight back against indoctrination happening in government schools. USPIE’s latest film, “Truth & Lies in American Education,” uncovers what is being taught inside government schools, such as critical race theory (CRT), Marxist ideology, and anti-American ideals.
Few has been at the forefront of the fight for educational reform for decades and has been one of the most passionate voices for parental and local control. “Truth & Lies in American Education” actually follows Few’s own daughter-in-law, April, as she learns about the horrors of the American school system. “Truth & Lies in American Education” addresses questions such as:
Are standardized tests being used for data collection?
Is there a federal education scheme to control the nation’s economy?
Why is the study of history so often anti-American and anti-Christian?
Are children being taught to become political activists?
What is the true aim of “comprehensive” sexuality education?
How much transgender influence is there in government schools?
What about critical race theory and the 1619 Project?
“Truth & Lies in American Education” is available for streaming on SalemNOW, as well available on DVD. For more information about “Truth & Lies in American Education,” click here.
United States Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) is a nonprofit, nationwide coalition that seeks to return education to its proper local roots and restore parental authority over their children’s education by helping parents and local communities to escape federal and other national influences. It is the vision of USPIE to create a culture where parents, empowered with the authority to choose what and how their children learn, are the undisputed primary educators of their children, where local schools operate in support of families, and where education is unencumbered by federal mandates.
